Invisible Object Icebreaker.

This good icebreaker will appeal to younger, creative groups. This activity works for three or more people. The larger your group, the more the object will change. Age is not afactor, but generally this activity is a hit with kids 8-12. Kids 10 years old to 100, and all participate together. When you are wondering how to plan party activities that will get people to pay attention this will be a good icebreaker.

Materials required:
One invisible imaginary object

The Set-up:
Gather everyone comfortably, where they can see the person working with the object. Seated on the floor works for younger participants, while adults may prefer to sit in chairs. An imaginary, invisible object is passed from one person to the next. The person taking the object, receives it and bends, beats, folds, and manipulates it into something completely different before passing it to the next person.

Do the Invisible Object Icebreaker
The first person pretends to hold an object. Without speaking, he/she pantomimes using the object in a way that others can guess what it is. When someone correctly gusses what the object is, it is passed to the next person. For example the first person may pantomime unwrapping a stick of gum, putting it in their mouth and chewing it. When someone guesses that it is gum, he takes it out of his mouth, stretches is out, rolls it into a ball and places it in the palm of the next person's hand. She takes it and stretches, bends, folds, and pounds it, until it is a completely different object. For example, a cowboy hat. When someone correctly guesses what it is, she takes off the imaginary cowboy hat and places it on the head of the next person. The object continues around the room, until it reaches the first person again. The last person folds it into smaller and smaller shape, until it is small enough to put in his pocket, and the activity ends.

This is a good icebreaker to get people's creative juices flowing.
